Reflection
After finishing this Genius Project, I think my favorite part was getting to work with Marisa and Celeste to try to change the mentality of people in order to have a cleaner environment. I think the most difficult thing was making time for this project aside from all of the other project that we had pending. Once again what I learned from this project is that I have to make more efforts and learn to manage my time to meet my goals because out of 3 days we had planned for clean ups, only 1 of them happened. I think that at the point I am right now with the self-direct, I need a lot to practice and learn in order to effectively work completely by my self.
Presentations
We are so close to ending the year and now we have to do our final presentations in front of so many people!!! I am feeling really nervous for this because its going to be a really big crowd of people. I think that we are pretty prepared for the presentation and have everything we are going to say ready. I think doing this project outside of school was a very new and exciting experience. Unfortunately we didn't do as many clean up days as we wanted to because we were overwhelmed with all the other projects that we had pending. Throughout this whole project, I learned that I really need to learn how to manage my time more effectively so that I am able to meet all my goals on time.

Update
\\ Things so far are going as planned. We had our first successful clean up day on the 21st of March, unfortunately not alot of people attended. Besides Marisa, Celeste, and I, only 9 other people took the time to help us with this project but thankfully, we achieved our goal. We met at Adelante Dual Language Academy and split up into groups to pick up trash around the school for about 3 hours. With the help of the people who attended, we picked up about 5 huge bags of trash. I think since school work is a priority and we have so many other projects besides this one, we are having a hard time finding a time to hold another clean up day.

Study Trip
Recently, we were able to talk to college students at UC Berkeley who were participating in a club at school. My group and I had the chance to interview a member from Improv 4 charity and some members from Educational Opportunity Program (EOP). Our conversations with them were very intriguing, they talked about their missions and what they do around campus. EOP's mission is to come together as undocumented, under represented, and low income students in order to make college easier for all of them. Improv 4 charity's mission was to preform some improv comedy to collect funds in order to donate them all to charity. They also talked to us about how it is important to join clubs in college or even high school to explore your passions in life. They talked about their college experience and how being in clubs makes that experience even more special.

Public Pitch
I thought that our public pitch went really well. I felt like we explained everything thoroughly and we were pretty relaxed while presenting. The work we put into the pitch did reflect the outcome because we worked on our presentation and practiced even if we were all separated at that moment. One presentation that I really enjoyed was Julie's. I thought that her multimedia was really well executed and the way she presented was relaxed and persuasive.

About my Genius Project
Our project is about the importance of keeping the community clean. What we will do is go to our former middle school and explain about the importance of keeping the world clean. We will then plan days in which we could go out to local parks or to the streets and pick up all the trash that we can. I am really excited to work with other people in order to clean the community. Some difficulties that i think might happen is that no one will go to our clean up days, which would make our project a fail. I am pretty nervous for the public pitch because I don't like speaking publicly but i think we can do pretty good. For our public pitch we are going to create a power point.
